Paul C. Cooper

January 18, 1927 – August 2, 2024

Paul Christian Cooper left this life on planet Earth early the morning of August 2, 2024.

He took his last breath in the arms of Bertha, his wife of 52 years. Theirs was a great love that never wavered; never once did they want to spend a night apart. He left Bertha a legacy of sustaining love and memories.

Paul embraced the gift of life for 97 years and was blessed with many interests and talents. They traveled to many places and returned to their favorite Paris many times. He was a renaissance man who would work to save instead of replacing. He could fix just about anything.

Through all those years, he was a gentle, loving man and always considerate of others.

He was born in Helena Arkansas on January 18, 1927. He grew up in modest surroundings and learned the value of hard work early in life. He joined the Navy in WWII as soon as he was old enough. He never saw combat because the war ended just as he was readying to be part of the invasion of Japan. He joined the Air Force during the Korean conflict. The GI bill gave him the opportunity to attend college.

He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Business Administration.

He married Anne G. Batell in 1952 and together they had 3 children. He had a successful career in middle and executive management and later in life turned to remodeling homes and landscaping their surrounding grounds.

He leaves behind daughter Nancy Leigh Eaton (Sidney, B.C.), son David Anderson Cooper (Redmond WA), son Matthew Perry Cooper (Mauna Lani HI), 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Paul and Bertha spent the last 26 years in their Sequim home.

To those who wish to donate, we suggest the North Olympic Land Trust based in Port Angeles WA.
