Bean participated in the NWAACC Sophomore All-Star event at Pierce College in Tacoma on March 15. He scored eight points and made both three-point tries in just 13 minutes of action as his North squad beat the South all-stars 84-82.
Four Pirate women competed in the all-star game as well: Brittany Bridges, Sam Flett, Brooke Helpenstell and Krystal Tolliver. The four combined for 30 points as the North fell to the South all-stars, 87-67. Bridges had 12 points and 10 rebounds while Helpenstell had seven points and eight rebounds. Flett scored seven points and Tolliver added four points, three assists and three steals.
