Boys tennis: SHS drops first match of season

The Wolves (6-1 in the Olympic League, 7-1 overall) suffered their first team loss on the tennis courts last week.

North Kitsap (7-1, 8-1) took five of seven matches on Sept. 30 on their home courts. Despite the loss, Sequim remains in the hunt for another Olympic League championship.

They took down Kingston (3-5 in league, 4-5 overall) the next day by winning four matches including  Victor Lam winning No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-0 over Ryan Nash, Eli Berg and Jerry Bryan winning No. 1 doubles over Spencer Bowlus and Javi Hernandez 6-4 6-2. and No. 4 doubles team Logan Habner/ John Ryan winning 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 against Hunter Parini and Lanaic Leleu.

Sequim plays four matches this week after hosting North Mason (0-10 overall) Monday, and traveling to Chimacum (1-3) on Tuesday, Bremerton (7-2)  on Wednesday and North Kitsap (8-1) on Thursday.
