In her second game with the team, Peninsula sophomore Brooke Helpenstell scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but it was in vain; Bellevue used a balanced attack to drop Peninsula, getting at least six points from six different players and seeing their bench contribute 26 points.

The Pirates also committed 22 turnovers to Bellevue’s 15.
Amy Rochowiak led the Bulldogs with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The loss drops Peninsula to 1-1 in conference and 6-7 overall.
