Girls soccer: Wolves get win No. 2, edge Bulldogs

PA upends Sequim at Civic Field

Sequim used its home field advantage and a mistake by the visiting Bulldogs to knock off North Mason 3-2 on Sept. 28.

Tied at 2-2, the Wolves got the benefit of a North Mason own-goal at the 79-minute mark to earn Sequim’s second win on the 2013 season.

The Wolves (2-5) rebounded from a 2-1 loss to Port Angeles on Sept. 26. Roughrider Maddie Boe broke a 1-1 tie with a score at 78 minutes to quell Sequim’s upset bid.

The Wolves dropped a 2-1 decision to Bremerton on Sept. 24. The Knights’ Tyra Amicangelo opened the scoring at the 20-minute mark, but Sequim knotted the score 10 minutes later. Bremerton’s Josie Holloway got the game winner about halfway through the second half.

The Wolves play at Kingston today, Oct. 1, and host Klahowya on Oct. 3.
