Sequim’s Melia Nelson competes in the 100-yard butterfly race against Port Angeles at the Shore Aquatic Center in Port Angeles on Oct. 5. Port Angeles’ depth and talent pushed the Roughriders to first-place finishes in all 12 events in a 136-41 girls swim and dive meet victory over rival Sequim. The Wolves host Bainbridge on Oct. 12 and close the regular season on Oct. 21 at home against Olympic.
