Gymnasts from Klahhane Gymnastics earned some strong finishes at the Snowball Classic in Lakewood on Jan. 7.
Competing in the evening session, Klahhane’s Bronze Team took first in their division with a combined team score of 113.45.
Individually, CarlyMae Riggs made a clean sweep of the awards after placing first in all four events and scoring 38.20 in the Junior A division all-around competition and scored 9.65 on the floor exercise. Also competing in the Junior A division, Charlotte Neville scored a solid 9.60 on the floor. Lainey DePiro, competing in the Senior B division, took third place with 37.35 all-around points. She had the highest score of the day with a 9.80 on the balance beam. Raeleigh Thomason was .05 of a point behind DePiro, placing fourth with 37.30 points. Mckinlee Thomason and Harper Waterkotte had identical all-around scores of 36.15 to qualify for the state meet in March. Paytynn Lindley and Morgan Smith rounded out the team performances with vaults of 9.3 and 9.0.
Earlier in the day in the Platinum Division, Mariah Traband won the Junior A division all-around scoring with 33.525 points, including a first place finish on the floor exercise with 8.95 points. Kira Hartman also competed in the Platinum Division.
Elyse Brown, competing in the Junior B division, took third place with 36.05 points in the all-around competition. Harper Hilliker placed fourth in the Junior A division with 35.45 points. Also competing in the Gold Division were Raynee Ciarlon, Graycelyn Goss and Daylen Williams.
