Athletes from Klahhane Gymnastics competed at the Rainier Cup Invitational hosted by Gymnastics Unlimited at Mount Rainier High School on Feb. 20-21.

On Feb. 20, the Xcel Platinum team of Sequim’s Danica Miller and Lainy Vig and Port Angeles’ Cassii Middlestead brought back a third-place team trophy, scoring 103.976 points.

“This is a big achievement with only three girls,” coach Janet Urfer said. “It is difficult for small teams to do well in the team competition since scores are calculated using the top three scores in each event regardless of the number of competitors on a team.”
