Through June, members of the public can register for Sequim Bay Yacht Club’s week-long learn-to-row programs for those 18 and older.
Held from 7-9 a.m. at John Wayne Marina, the on-the-water sessions allow two novices at a time to scull in a SBYC quad shell with experienced members of the club rowing group, and coaching by Guy Lawrence.
Upon completion of the course, participants have the option of joining SBYC to continue with its early morning rowing sessions.
Openings exist in classes for the weeks of June 4-9 and June 11-16.
The learn-to-row course fee is $275 for members of the public, with a discount for current SBYC members.
Personal flotation devices are provided.
