Although the opening weekend of registration was Feb. 6-7, youths interested in playing on a Sequim Little League baseball or softball team still have time to sign up at upcoming tryouts.

Tryouts for most teams are from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Feb. 13-14 and Feb. 20-21 at the James Standard Little League fields, 124 W. Silberhorn Road.

The exception is the junior girls (13- and 14-year-olds), who try out from 3-5 p.m. on Feb. 12 and Feb. 28, also at the Little League fields.

Cost is $50 per player or $35 per T-ball player, with a $150 maximum per family. Players trying out need to bring their official birth certificate.

Ages/divisions are as follows: T-ball (co-ed), ages 5-6; prep (co-ed), ages 7-8; boys minors, ages 9-11; boys majors, ages 9-12; girls minors, ages 9-11, girls majors, ages 9-12; girls juniors, ages 13-14.
