Winterfest, Hurricane Ridge’s annual fundraiser, is set for 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Vern Burton Community Center in Port Angeles.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and the event begins at 6 p.m.
Following live and silent auctions, the event features top films from the VideOlympics, a film festival/contest held in the spring.
This year’s films include “Hurricane Ridge – Party Like It’s 1999” and “2013 Hurricane Ridge Baked Slalom” by Tim Stanford, “1 Day at Salt Creek” by Bill Roberd, “Hurricane Ridge Film Fest” by The McColl brothers, “Dedicated” by David Herberg, “Olympic Decathalon” by Sean Halberg, “Just for the Huck of It” by Stephan Canale and “Paradise” by the Z Boys.
In addition to the videos and auctions, enjoy a prime rib dinner prepared by Next Door Gastro Pub, live music by Bill and Rudy.
All contributions are tax deductible and proceeds go winter sports education at Hurricane Ridge such as snow school and ski team operations, as well as scholarships to local youths who would like to learn how to ski, snowboard or participate on ski team.
In Sequim, buy individual tickets at Brian’s Sporting Goods, 542 W. Washington St. In Port Angeles, get tickets at Swain’s General Store, Necessities & Temptations or Brown’s Outdoor in Port Angeles.
Tickets are $45 in advance, $50 at the door. Children 12 years of age and younger are $25. Purchase a table for eight for $320 (a $5-per-person saving).
