The 2014-2015 Peninsula College men’s basketball team just keeps getting better and better.

Head coach Mitch Freeman recently signed two more players in Jonah Cook and Dimitri Amos.

Cook, a 6-foot 9-inch post from Anacortes, adds some height to the 2014-2015 Pirate roster. He played for LaConner High School where he averaged a little less than 10 points per game. He graduated in 2012 and attended Skagit Valley College last year, but did not play basketball.

“Jonah gives us immediate size and strength inside,” Freeman said. “He has a great touch with range to the three-point line. We are excited that Jonah will be joining our Pirate basketball family.”

Also signing was Amos, a 6-foot 6-inch wing from Agassi Prep High School in North Las Vegas, Nev. Amos graduated in 2011 and attended Mayville State University his freshman year.

“Dimitri is a versatile inside-outside player who will be tough for the opposing team to guard,” Freeman said. “He is an exceptional rebounder and can score in multiple ways around the basket. We are excited that Dimitri also will be joining our Pirate basketball family.”

Earlier this summer, Freeman signed Deonte Dixon, a 6-foot 2-inch guard from Bremerton; Malik Mayeux, a 6-foot 7-inch forward from Tacoma; Jeremiah Hobbs, a 6-5 forward from Seattle Academy; Ryley Callaghan, a 6-foot 1-inch point guard from Port Orchard; and Kareem Babbs, a 6-foot 3-inch guard/forward from Tacoma.
