Ferrol Paulsen, a Sequim High School senior, is Student of the Month for April as picked by the Clallam branch of the American Association of University Women.
Paulsen was honored along with the association’s other top students – Sunma Agostine, Olivia Boots, Kali Curtis, Laura Moser, Teyloure Ring, Amanda Tjemsland and Blaire Maloney – at the association’s annual reception on March 14 at the Port Angeles Library.

School activities: National Honor Society, Interact Club, select choir, varsity football team manager (four years), varsity wrestling team manager (four years), homecoming preparation, basketball game managing (concessions/game clock), Rainshadow Wrestling Tournament volunteer (four years), teacher’s assistant for adaptive PE class

Future plans: Attend a four-year university, possibly in Washington, Idaho or Arizona, with a double-major in athletic training and exercise science. "My dream would be to either get a permanent job working for a professional sports team, preferably, an NFL team, or working for a college or university as an athletic trainer."
