Roller derby team seeks players, officials

The Port Scandalous Roller Derby club is seeking new players for the 2015 season, which kicks off at 6 p.m., March 28, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club.

The Port Scandalous Roller Derby club is seeking new players for the 2015 season, which kicks off at 6 p.m., March 28, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club.

The club practices from 8-10 p.m. each Wednesday at the Clallam County YMCA, 302 S. Francis St. Port Angeles. No prior experience is required.

Port Scandalous’ first match of its fifth season is against the Eves of Destruction Roller Derby from Victoria, B.C.

Pre-sale tickets are $10 and are available at the Sequim Gazette, Drake’s U-Bake Pizza & Subs in Port Angeles or online at seasonfivegameone.brownpapertickets.com.

Tickets at the door are $12, with discounts for military personnel and seniors. Youths 6 and younger are free.

Concessions are by the Boys & Girls Keystone Club. The event features a 21-and-older beer garden and 50/50 raffle.
