Baker sweep saves Wolves
Sequim’s bowlers have figured out how to win in the clutch.
After splitting a pair of regular games with Peninsula Jan. 8, Sequim High’s bowlers swept a pair of Baker-format games to edge the Seahawks 5-2 and stay in the hunt for third place in the Olympic League.
Samantha Whiteside led Sequim with a 299-pin series while Kim Duce knocked down 254 pins and Breanna Krumpe had a 238-point series.
The Wolves (4-6) took the first game 651-596 and dropped game two 610-585. Sequim came back to win the Baker games 158-129 and 155-121. They won the total pin count as well, 1,549 to 1,456.
