Sequim High School’s fastpitch softball squad moved on to the double

elimination bracket at the West Central District tournament in Tacoma

after a 10-0 win against Eatonville Monday afternoon.

Demiree Briones pitched a six-inning, one-hit complete game shutout.

Sequim racked up 17 hits, three each from Briones, Cindy Miller and

Maddy Zbaraschuk.

The Wolves take on Steilacoom at 1:30 p.m. today in the district

semifinals. The winner takes on the winner of the Fife-North Mason game

at 5 p.m. Losers of the semifinal contests pay at 5 p.m. in a loser-out

contest. The district advances just two teams to state.
