The Sequim Wolves’ bowling squad extended their season this week — and they’re advancing together.

All five SHS competitors are headed to Tacoma on Saturday, Jan. 28, after posting qualifying scores at the Olympic League tourney Monday afternoon.

Mikayla Ahlin bowled a three-game series of 368 to lead Sequim, followed by Megan McAndie (343), Danyelle Wilson (338), Kelsey VanDyken (332) and Christin Egert (311).

“They were all 10, 20 pins above their season average,” Sequim coach Randy Perry said. “They’re very excited.”

Perry admitted it will be tough for any member of his crew to advance to state, estimating it would take a 160-pin-per-game average to advance.

“[Next year] I’ll have my top five coming back,” Perry said — minus Egert, a senior exchange student. “And they’re all really young: four sophomores and a freshman.”

Saturday’s district tourney is at Pacific Lanes in Tacoma.
