In the second round of games, Port Angeles showed why they might be the class of the newly-formed Peninsula Senior Softball League, crushing Sequim Oasis Sports Bar & Grill 18-2 in a mercy rule-shortened contest.
But on the other field, Sequim 7 Cedars rebounded from an 11-1 deficit to defeat Port Townsend, 14-13.
Sequim’s softball squads host a seven-team tournament – Victoria, Tukwila, Port Angeles, two teams from Sequim and two teams from Seattle – on June 20-21. Games are at Carrie Blake park and start at 9 a.m. both days.
