Sequim’s Laine Briggs and Nic Thacker were named to All-Olympic League teams last week while teammates Ary Webb and Sarah Moores earned honorable mentions.
Briggs led the Wolves to a second-place finish among league 2A schools and a district playoff berth. She led the Wolves with 25 points in a crucial win against North Mason Feb. 12 and had a team-high 13 points in a playoff win against Steilacoom Feb. 23.
Thacker led the Wolves with 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
Moores led the Wolves in scoring 10 times during the regular season and her outside shooting provided the Wolves a balance to Briggs’ work inside. Webb was the Wolves’ top threat behind the three-point and free-throw line.
Eric Lane of Port Angeles was named the boy’s league MVP while Olympic High’s Nicole Buhl was named the girls’ MVP.
