Lady Niners set to kick off 2008 season

The new season for the ladies nine-hole golf group at The Cedars at Dungeness starts at 8:15 a.m. March 6, with a tee time of 9 a.m.

Group members are practicing at 10:50 a.m. on Feb. 21, 28 to prepare for the season. Captain Donna Teel says the group welcomes any new or seasoned golfers to join for practice days and/or the season.

Road race series opens 2008 registration

Officials for the 2008 Athlete’s Choice Race Series have opened online registration for the three-race series.

Sign up for the Lincoln Park 5k/10k (March 9), Robin Hill Run three-mile/10k (April 12), Sequim Run Off two-mile/10k (May 3) or all three. Cost is $20 for each race ($25 for day-of-race registration) or $50 for all three races. Youths 5 years and younger can race for $5 each race. Each race begins at 10 a.m.
