Lewis gets ace No. 5

Sequim’s Steve Lewis sank a hole-in-one at The Cedars at Dungeness on March 16, his fifth such ace.

Lewis used an 8-iron to sink the 131-yard hole No. 8 at The Cedars.

President’s Cup is at The Cedars

The Cedars at Dungeness hosts the President’s Cup, a match play-format tourney open to men’s club members.

Entry fee is $15. Registration deadline is 5 p.m. on April 9. Registration is limited to the first 32 players to sign up.

Matches start on Monday, April 12, and continue at two-week intervals.

P.A. hosts April Fools’ hoops tourney

The April Fools’ Extravaganza basketball tournament in Port Angeles is slated for March 27-28, with divisions for boys and girls basketball teams in grades 5-12.

Cost is $235 per team.

The event features a four-game guarantee.

Hardball players seek teammates

Nick Mobley and fellow baseball players are seeking interest in re-forming an adult league for this summer.

Formerly playing under the Olympic Peninsula Baseball Association banner, these ballplayers are hoping to form at least four teams and play games in Sequim or at Port Angeles’ Volunteer Field.
