Hardball players seek teammates
Nick Mobley and fellow baseball players are seeking interest in re-forming an adult league for this summer.
Formerly playing under the Olympic Peninsula Baseball Association banner, these ballplayers are hoping to form at least four teams and play games in Sequim or at Port Angeles’ Volunteer Field.
Games are for players 18 or older.

YMCA hosts sports for youths, adults
The Clallam County Family YMCA at 302 S. Francis St. in Port Angeles hosts a number of sports-related activities for youths and adults.
For youths, the YMCA has Kempo karate and judo for children ages 6 and older, volleyball for girls in grades 4-5, plus soccer for Mini Kickers (ages 3-4) and Little Foot indoor soccer (ages 5-6).
For teens, the YMCA offers Kempo karate, aikido (ages 14 and older), an introduction to rowing class (ages 16 and older) and youth sailing classes (grades 6-12).
For adults, the YMCA has drop-in volleyball on Tuesday evenings (7-9 p.m.) drop-in pickleball on Thursday evenings (7-9 p.m.), Friday night dodgeball challenges and a number of activities: Kempo karate, judo, aikido, a racquetball league, rowing and badminton.

P.A. hoops tourney set for March
The Port Angeles Recreation Department is hosting the Captain T’s Spring Hoopfest basketball tournament for boys and girls in grades 5-12.
The tourney is set for March 6-7.
The tournament features a four-game guarantee.
Cost is $235 per team.

SkyRidge’s ‘Gut’ tourney set for March 20
SkyRidge Golf Course’s signature tournament, the Gut Buster, is set for a 9 a.m. start on Saturday, March 20, at 7015 Old Olympic Highway.
Both men and women play 18 holes, with men playing from the black tees and women playing the silver tees.
The tourney features gross and net division prizes, four KP prizes.
Range balls, long putt contest and lunch are included in the entry.
Players are encouraged to set up their own foursomes.
Cost is $55 per player.

SARC hosts Open House on March 6
Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center hosts a free open house from 11 a.m.-
1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at 610 N. Fifth Ave.
The event features free refreshments, tours of the center and a free pass for a future visit.
Organizers plan drawings for a 20-visit punch card (valued at $150), a one-month pass (a $45 value) and a free fitness class pass for a month.
The open house also features four complimentary class demonstrations: endurance circuit training from 11:15-11:30 a.m.; yoga from 11:45 a.m.-noon; Zumba from 12:15-12:30 p.m.; and tai chi from 12:45-1 p.m.

Junior golf camp comes to SkyRidge
SkyRidge Golf Course, at 7015 Old Olympic Highway, is home to a three-day junior golf camp that starts on Monday, March 29. Camp times are 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Boys and girls ages 6-15 are welcome.
SkyRidge golf staffers provide the instruction.
Cost is $50 per player with an additional $30 per sibling. Fee includes snacks and drinks, as well as a camp T-shirt and group photo.
On March 31 – the last day – campers and instructors venture onto the golf course to play a few holes.

Jr. Babe Ruth time
Sign-ups and tryouts for Sequim Jr. Babe Ruth will be held 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 6, at the Sequim High School baseball fields, 601 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.
Boys age 13-15 are eligible.
