Rain-Deer run

set for Saturday

The city of Port Angeles’ annual Rain-Deer Fun Run/Walk 5k and 10k is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, beginning at the Port Angeles City Pier.

The course is an out-and-back along the waterfront trail for both races.

Cost is $25 per person; cost includes race registration, an event T-shirt and refreshments. Medals are awarded for first, second and third in each age division at an awards ceremony at about 2:15 p.m. Divisions include: Youths 13 and under; 14-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69 and 70-plus.

Canadian fisher to speak at anglers’ meeting

Puget Sound Anglers-North Olympic Peninsula Chapter hosts Canadian fisher Roger Bligh at the club’s next meeting set for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.
