Junior soccer opens registration

Sequim Junior Soccer spring league registration is now open for all players in groups U-8 to U-15.

Batting cagers

host BBQ

The Sequim Baseball Batting Cages owners are hosting a barbecue and membership drive from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the cages facility, 775 W. Washington St.

An annual membership at the batting cages is $100 per player. For two family members, it’s $175 and

for three, membership is $225.

SkyRidge hosts

winter scramble

A three-person winter scramble golf tourney is slated for a 9:30 a.m. start on Saturday, Jan. 16, at SkyRidge Golf Course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway.

Each three-person team must have a total combined handicap of 15 or greater (20 percent of the total team handicap is used).

Cost is $150 per team; fee includes honey pot, lunch, KP prizes and range balls.

Paek gets first ace

A.C. Paek of Port Angeles sank an ace at The Cedars at Dungeness on Dec. 9, the golfer’s first hole-in-one.

Paek used a wedge to drive the 117-yard eighth hole at The Cedars.
