Hoops sign-up today

The Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a women’s basketball league for girls and women ages 16 years and older.

The season starts April 6.

Cost is $200 per team plus an individual player’s fee.

Sign-up forms are available at the parks and recreation office at 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. Teams must be registered by today, April 1.

Baseball clinic set for April 9

Sequim High School hosts a youth baseball clinic for boys and girls in grades 3-8, from 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 9, at the high school baseball fields off of Fir Street.

Cost is $20 per player. Fee includes a Wolves baseball cap and a snack.

Demos coming to The Cedars

The Cedars at Dungeness golf course hosts demo days for pro golf products from noon-4 p.m. on four Wednesdays in April.

Dates include: April 8, TaylorMade/Adams; April 15, Callaway; April 22, Ping, and April 29, Nike. Call 683-6344 for more information.

Soccer league forming

The Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department and Peninsula College Soccer are hosting an adult coed soccer league.

Men 18 years or older and girls and women 16 years and older are eligible.

The season starts April 12, with games at the college’s Sigmar Field, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

Cost is $55 per player

Sign-up forms are available at the parks and recreation office at 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

Paddlers to talk safety

The Olympic Peninsula Paddlers club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 8, at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 W. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

This month’s program is on Safety, Preparedness and Emergency Response presented by the United States Coast Guard. The public is invited to attend.
