BMX open house, free racing set
Lincoln Park BMX hosts a free open house and registration day from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at the track in Port Angeles.
Track representatives will go over the sport of BMX and how it works, equipment used, riding and how races are hosted. There will be helmets and bikes to use.
From 4-5 p.m. the park will have registration for a free race (membership not required) with racing starting at 5:15 p.m. This is for all youths 2 years old and older who can ride a balance bike or a pedal bike (if youths bring their own bike, it needs to have the kickstand removed).
On Sunday, June 19, Lincoln Park hosts its Race for Life double points race. Sign-ups are from 9:30-11 a.m. Membership is not required, but the race fee is $20. Proceeds go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
