Memorial tournament set for tomorrow
The Lady Niners at The Cedars at Dungeness golf course will hold its annual Memorial Scramble Tournament on Thursday, May 12. All proceeds from the event will go to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.
This tournament honors those golfers who have died and have received care from VHOCC. Club members invite all lady golfers to join this worthy endeavor, whether a member of a golf club or not.
Entry fee is $27 which includes a light lunch, golf contests and hospice donation. Green fees with a cart are $25; without a cart, $15.

Hikers to explore PT’s Artillery Hill
All walkers are invited to join the Olympic Peninsula Explorers Saturday, May 14, for the 5- or 10-kilometer Artillery Hill walk at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend. The walk is free unless you wish credit from American Volkssport Association.
All walkers must sign up at the Subway Restaurant, 1300 Water St., Port Townsend, between 9:15-9:30 a.m. Maps/directions will be handed out then. The group will carpool to the start of the walk at 9:30 a.m.
The walk includes a visit to several of the batteries on Artillery Hill. The 10-kilometer option goes by the Port Wilson lighthouse.Restrooms are available at start/finish point and in the park.

Time to ‘Golf 4 Grads’
The Cedars at Dungeness hosts the Golf 4 Grads golf tournament, set for May 15 at the course, 1965 Woodcock Road.
The four-person scramble raises funds for the post-graduation party for graduation Sequim high school seniors in June. Cost is $85 per player; fee includes green fees, carts, lunch, KPs, long drive and hole-in-one competitions, and more.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and play begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
