Sports physicals, car wash event set
Get sports physicals and your car washed at the same event at a fundraiser set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.
The event, a fundraiser for the Sequim High School boys’ varsity soccer team, sees physicals are performed by local physicians Dr. Carl Weber and Dr. Kip Tulin. Cost is $20 per physical, car wash by donation.

Sponsors sought for ‘Bob Cup’
Event organizers are seeking sponsors for the second-annual Bob Cup Golf Tournament, set for Saturday, July 29, at The Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course, 1965 Woodcock Road.
The Bob Cup honors the memory of Robert “Bob” Raymond Duncan, a Sequim native and avid golfer who died unexpectedly in November 2015.
Sponsors wishing to be on the tournament poster need to register by Monday, June 12; however, sponsors will be accepted past that date.

Grant gets ace No. 3
Ron Grant of Sequim sank his third lifetime hole-in-one on May 16 at The Cedars at Dungeness. Grant used a gap wedge to drive the 125-yard hole No. 8 at The Cedars. Gil Goodman, Jeff Upchurch and Robert Mares of Sequim witnessed the feat.
Stanwood’s Wood gets first ace with iron
Ryan Wood of Stanwood sank his first hole-in-one on the 139-yard hole No. 11 at The Cedars at Dungeness on May 20.
Roller derby squad in action June 3
The Port Scandalous Roller Derby squad hosts its fourth bout of the season from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Sequim Boys &Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, military personnel and youths ages 7-12, and free for youths 6 and younger. Get tickets online (https://squareup.com/store/port-scandalous) or at the door.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the bout starts at 6 p.m. The event features a beer garden (21+).
