Registration is now open for the annual Dog Days 10K Fun Run.
On Sept. 22 the inaugural Dog Days 10K Fun Run/Walk on the Adventure Route of the Olympic Discovery Trail will be held in the hopes of raising funds for, and promoting awareness of, the work of the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society. The cost is $35 per person. Participation is limited to 125 registrants. All of the proceeds benefit the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.
The fun run/walk will be held on the Olympic Adventure Trail, starting and ending in the large parking lot located 1 mile up Dan Kelly Road, on the left. It entails a 10k loop that includes a single-track forested trail as well as a portion of forested gravel road. This is an untimed event, being held solely for the purpose of raising money for the OPHS.
