The long and lanky Sequim High senior led the Wolves in scoring and nearly catapulted his team into the district playoffs.
For his efforts, John Textor was named to the All-Olympic League second team last week.
Textor led the Wolves with an 11.9 points-per-game average and wound up with 2.6 steals per contest, third in the league.
Corbin Webb was named an all-league honorable mention, scoring 6.8 points per game.
Sequim shared the league’s Sportsmanship award with Olympic.
Jarell Flora of Bremerton was named league MVP with 23.8 points and 11.7 rebounds per game, helping the Knights to a league title. Knights coach Casey Lindbergh was named Coach of the Year.
Port Angeles’ Antonio Stevenson was named to the all-league second team while Steve Rogers, Colin Wheeler and Justin Williams were named honorable mentions.
On the girls’ side, Sequim’s Lea Hopson was named an All-League honorable mention, the lone Wolf on the team. She led the Wolves with 12.1 points and three steals per game this season.
Port Angeles scorer Jessica Madison was named all-league MVP for the second consecutive season, finishing with a 23.8 points-per-game average and added 7.6 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.4 steals per contest. The Roughriders won the league title.
Other Roughriders named
to the team include Skylar Jones, first team; Alison Knowles, second team; and honorable mentions Kiah Jones and Taylyn Jeffers.
Laurie Shaw of Olympic was named Coach of the Year while Port Angeles, North Kitsap and Olympic shared the league’s Sportsmanship award.
In wrestling, Sequim heavyweight Brian Bearden was named to the all-Olympic League second team after finishing with a 10-13 overall record and alternate to the class 2A state tournament.
Sequim’s Amariah Clift was named to the all-league girls’ team for the 171-plus weight class. Clift went 3-2 at the Region II tournament and was named an alternate to the class 2A state tourney.
Steve Polillo of Olympic was named league Coach of the Year and Port Angeles won the Sportsmanship award.
P.A.’s Adam Raemer (145 pounds) and Nathan Cristion (189) were named to the all-league second team.
