After a two-year hiatus, the Tour De Dungeness is back.
The multi-division bicycle race, which brings an estimated 400-450 of riders from across the region to the Olympic Peninsula is set for a one-day event on Saturday, March 12, starting at 9:45 a.m. and continuing through the afternoon.
Riders in different categories race multiple laps on a 12-mile course that includes Lotzgesell, Cays, East Anderson, Sequim-Dungeness Way, Woodcock and Kitchen-Dick roads.
Residents and travelers in the Dungeness area on that day are asked to be aware of possible traffic delays, event organizers note.
“Use caution, be patient and let’s show them that we are a bicycle-friendly community,” organizers said in a press release.
Parking for the event is in the large field at the north end of Kitchen-Dick and Lotzgesell roads.
