Sequim High School’s junior varsity squads competed at the Olympic League JV championships in Belfair on May 12, with SHS’s boys (84 points) placing second behind North Mason (104) and SHS’s girls placing fifth, both in nine-team fields.
On the girls’ side, Sequim’s relay team of Madelynn Potts, Taylor Forderer, Tatum Jensen and Caitlin McWilliams won the 4×100 event. Potts also placed second in the long jump and third in the triple jump and high jump.
Sequim’s boys had three event winners: Terrance Tveit in the high jump, Stephen Silliman in the pole vault and Justin Hermosada in the long jump.
