The Wolves’ postseason hangs in the balance like a volleyball perched precariously atop a net.
Sequim (10-6) won their West Central District 3 opener against Eatonville Saturday in four sets (25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-15), then lost in the quarterfinals to Fife, the Nisqually League champ, 25-18, 25-16 and 25-16 later that day. The Wolves have one more shot at the district’s third and final seed to the state meet when they play Washington at 6 p.m. Nov. 15 in Bremerton. With a win, the Wolves will play in the double-elimination class 2A tournament, slated for Nov. 21-22 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.
