Wagner was 3-0 with one save and an impressive earned run average (1.16, fourth in the league), was named to the all-league first team and helped the Wenatchee Apple Sox summer team advance to the West Coast League playoffs.

Better yet, the Apple Sox knocked off the highly ranked Corvallis Knights for the WCL championship.

Wagner, a 2006 Sequim High School graduate, held opposing hitters to a .215 batting average, good for fourth in the league. Among his strong starts was a 1-0 complete game win against the Bellingham Bells on June 26.

Wagner pitched at Lower Columbia where he was first team All-NWAACC and twice named first team All-West Region before transferring to the University of Hawaii-Pacific.
