Sequim Wolf Pack Youth Football player registration is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, in the Sequim High School football stadium parking lot, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
Players also may register from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Sequim Middle School practice field, 301 W. Hendrickson Road, following the Wolves’ football camp.
Youths between 6-12 years of age are eligible to play.
The registration fee is $150. A birth certificate and evidence of physical examination are required.
Sequim Wolf Pack uniforms and equipment will be issued to registered players from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St. Practices begin Aug. 15.
The Sequim Wolf Pack offers local youth the opportunity to learn and play tackle football. It provides an adult-supervised environment for young people to learn sportsmanship, team play, respect for others and self-understanding while having fun playing supervised tackle football.
The Wolf Pack fields four youth football teams in the North Olympic Youth Football League for the 2011 season: a Prep Team for children 6-8 years old, a Junior Varsity Team for 9- and 10-year-olds: and two Varsity teams for 11- and 12-year-old youths.
In addition to the Sequim Wolf Pack, the North Olympic conference includes competing youth football teams from Port Townsend, Chimacum, Port Angeles, Neah Bay and Forks.
